As college basketball enters the final few weeks of its regular season, the question in the ACC has become a familiar one: Can anyone catch North Carolina and Duke?
Indeed, the two ancient rivals are once again threatening to decide the ACC regular-season championship between themselves. The Tar Heels entered the week with a one-game lead on the Blue Devils in the win column, raising the prospect of the title being decided March 9 when the rivals meet in Durham. UNC is the favorite at sportsbooks with -280 odds of claiming the title, with Duke right behind at +200.
Can anyone play spoiler? Virginia entered the week third in the standings and with +2200 odds of winning the ACC title, and games against Duke and UNC still to come. Beyond that, though, the prospects grow slim—Pittsburgh and N.C. State are tied for fourth, but four games behind UNC in the win column, while Wake Forest is fourth in ACC championship odds at a distant +40000.
That season-ending clash in Cameron Indoor Stadium comes two days before the North Carolina sports betting launch on March 11. That means sports bettors in the Old North State will find plenty of available wagers on Duke, UNC and other state teams in both the ACC Tournament and March Madness.
That said, most if not all of the major sportsbooks launching in the state will begin offering early sign-up bonuses beginning March 1 – and that could include incentives such as an extra $100 in bonus bets as a no deposit bonus for launch day.
North Carolina has claimed the ACC regular-season title a record 32 times, while Duke has won 20 and Virginia 11 — the most recent coming last year. Once launch day arrives, North Carolina betting apps will feature lots of pregame and futures wagers on the Tar heels and Blue Devils — including to make the Final Four and win the national championship.Â
Sports bettors will also be able to claim North Carolina sportsbook promos, which typically award bonus bets that users can then use to wager on Duke, UNC or any other college basketball team. You must be at least 21 years old and physically within the state to claim promo code offers, or to bet legally in North Carolina.
What might those bonus code offers look like? The BetMGM North Carolina bonus code, for instance, could be a bet-and-get offer like the sportsbook has made available for other state launches, and currently offers nationally. And there’s no limit to the number of bonus offers you can claim after launch day—if it’s legally available in North Carolina, it’s there for the taking.
Also look for the Caesars Sportsbook North Carolina promo code, given that Caesars has delivered a terrific welcome bonus in every state where it’s gone live. Just remember that bonus bets do expire, typically between seven to 14 days, so make sure and read the terms and conditions of each offer.
Other offers likely to be available on launch day include the  Fanatics Sportsbook North Carolina promo code, which promises to have a major presence in the Old North State with all its ties to teams and sports leagues. Also look for odds boosts and other promo offers during March Madness, which is one of the biggest sports betting extravaganzas of the year.
Promo offers like DraftKings North Carolina promo code play a role in helping new bettors build their bankroll, which means more funds with which to wager on launch day. But first, there’s the matter of Duke and UNC likely deciding the ACC title among themselves.
