The Heisman Trophy slate is wiped clean for 2024 with recent winners, Caleb Williams (2022) and Jayden Daniels (2023), off to the NFL. The 2024 Heisman winner will be a first-time winner, meaning that the lone two-time winner, Archie Griffin, will have his record preserved for at least one more season.
Quarterbacks have dominated the award historically with 36 winners, and recent history has only strengthened that trend. Since 2010, 12 of the 14 recipients have been quarterbacks.Â

Nico Iamaleava, Tennessee (+1500) Iamaleava is a wild card among this group as he has just one start under his belt. Heisman Underdogs
One thing about preseason odds: Players tend to make a bit of an unexpected jump up the odds chart during the season based on how they perform. So, players who are considered underdogs in July could be favorites by the middle of October.

Riley Leonard, Notre Dame (+2000) The former Duke quarterback is set to take over at the helm of a Notre Dame program that has been building  toward a breakthrough.
Jackson Arnold, Oklahoma (+2200) Being at the helm of the Oklahoma offense is always a good starting point for considering a Heisman favorite. Arnold is next up for the Sooners after Dillon Gabriel's departure to Oregon.
Brady Cook, Missouri (+3000) Cook returns after an impressive 2023 season that culminated in a Cotton Bowl win over Ohio State and a No.8 ranking in the final AP Poll.
