And finally, the Bills may have lost Stefon Diggs this offseason, but the spread has crossed the key number of seven which opens the possibility of winning by a touchdown to cover.
If you place all three of these bets into a NFL Week 1 parlay bet, the odds would be +653. This means that a $100 winning wager would profit $653. Remember that each leg must win in order for the parlay to be graded as a win.
NFL parlays offer a higher potential payout because they combine two or more wagers on a single bet. The bets can be on a single game – aka a “same-game parlay” – or on different games across different sports.
Each individual bet is referred to as a “leg,” so in a three-leg parlay, you are combining three legs into a single wager and all three legs would need to win for you to earn the payout. This is the steadfast rule in parlay betting. No matter how many legs are included in the parlay, all need to win. So if you win seven legs of an eight-leg parlay, you still lose the bet. The more legs, the greater the potential payout – but the greater the risk.
NFL parlays can be built on virtually any of the standard NFL odds – moneyline, spread, totals, futures, player and team props and more. You can even cross sports. If you are wondering why you would choose a parlay bet over making the same bets individually, the reasoning is you will get much better odds with NFL parlays than you will with individual bets.
For example, the Houston Texas are +100 to win the AFC South and the Dallas Mavericks are +1000 to win the 2025 NBA title. Winning individual $10 wagers on each – a $20 stake on the bettor’s part – would return a total of $110 ($10 on the Texans and $100 on the Mavericks). But on Caesars Sportsbook, you could find a 2-leg “Texas Two Step” parlay that was offering +2100 odds on the same results. So that same $20 stake would return $420.
However, if you made the same hypothetical wagers above and the Texans, for example, failed to win the AFC South, you would still pocket $100 if the Mavs won the NBA championship. With the parlay bet, if Houston were unsuccessful, so too would be your parlay.
There are many options available for bettors looking to wager on NFL parlays. Here are four of the most popular types:
The same-game parlay is a newer, but increasingly popular, kind of NFL parlay wager. It can combine multiple moneyline, spread, totals, player-, team- or game-prop bets from a single game into a parlay wager. Sports betting apps often offer NFL betting promos during the season to boost your same-game parlay odds.
For example, you could find a three-leg, same-game parlay on the Ravens-Chiefs NFL Kickoff opener on Sept. 5 consisting of a Chiefs moneyline win, the over of 47.0 points and NFL prop bets on Patrick Mahomes to throw for more than 300.5 yards and more than 2.5 touchdowns.

A multi-game parlay is more common and features each leg of an NFL parlay coming from a different game. An example that you could have found in the preseason was the Saints, Bengals, Bills and 49ers to all cover their opening-day spreads. These NFL parlays could also include NFL futures, such as the Bills, Cowboys, Buccaneers and Texans to win their respective divisions (+595 in the offseason at Caesars Sportsbook), or wagers on the NFL MVP odds.
Teasers are parlays in which players "buy" points on specific totals and spreads, with odds changing accordingly. For example, a 9-point teaser would turn the Ravens-Chiefs game from Chiefs -2.5 to Ravens -6.5 and the total from 47 to 39. You will find smaller payouts on these types of NFL parlays but getting the "free" points makes them more likely to win.
Round-robin parlays create mini-parlays within the original one you created. For example, a three-team parlay with the Giants moneyline, Eagles moneyline and Cowboys moneyline could become a round robin in which three mini-parlays would be created: Giants and Cowboys; Cowboys and Eagles; and Eagles and Giants. There are more avenues to win here, and you don't need all legs to be successful for you to earn some sort of payout, although that payout would not be as high as with traditional NFL parlays.
Each of the various sportsbooks have a NFL parlay calculator that determines the likelihood of each of the individual wagers being successful. The implied odds of a three-leg parlay hitting with -110 odds hitting is 14.3%, which equates to the approximately +600 odds the respective oddsmakers set. Because the "house" always has an advantage, your odds are likely to be a little lower than the implied probability of the NFL parlay you create.

If you bet the Chiefs to cover a 2.5-point spread, you're assuming the Ravens will likely be playing from behind, which means betting on Lamar Jackson's over passing yards total makes sense.
